Selina Heyligers-Hare (band leader) is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and graduate of Selkirk College's Music & Technology program. Along with Hendrika, she is a recording and touring member of bands such as Major Funk (two time WCMA nominees) , Paris Pick (FocusWales 2021, Keychange ), the Naysayers (Coax Records) and was a transcriber, songwriter and co-writer for Larrikin Entertainment's newest musical WYRD.
She emanates a star quality while still being humble and kind in character. From indie folk to bright soaring vocals, her music could be described as folk roots with a classic rock attitude. She released her new EP “I Can’t Remember” this fall following a summer full of festival dates including Dawson City Music Festival, Arts Swells, Midsummer Music Festival and Lilac Festival. Coming up this September she will be playing Breakout West 2024.
